By Guru's grace some rare one understands this.

Within my mind, I tell the beads of the rosary of the treasure of virtues.

His worth can be told not.

The Name falls in the skirt of him, whom the Lord blesses with it.

My Lord is Inaccessible and Incomprehensible and can be perceived not.

He Himself has yoked all the men to their tasks.

He alone understands Him, whom He Himself instructs.

By Guru's instruction, the mortal comes to comprehend his hearth and home.

Then lovingly performs he the Lord's devotional service,

and burns his ego and egoism with the Name.

Wednesday: The Lord Himself blesses man with sublime understanding.

He sings the Lord's praise and washes off his filth of pride.

In the Lord's True Court, he ever obtains glory.

Imbued with the Name, he is embellished with the Guru's Word.

The profit of the Name is obtained through the Guru's door.

Lord, the Giver, Himself blesses man with it.

He, who gives thus; unto Him I am devoted.

By Guru's grace, self-conceit is dispelled.

O Nanak, keep thou the Lord's Name clasped to thy heart.

Unto the Beneficent Lord, I pay my respectful homage.

Thursday: The fifty-two warriors like Hanuman are deluded by doubt.

All the goblins and demons are attached to another.

Himself creating all, the Lord beholds them in their distinctiveness.

O my Creator, everyone has Thine prop.

The mortals and creatures are under thy protection.

He alone meets Thee, whom Thou, O Lord makest to meet.

Friday: My Master is pervading all.

Himself creating all, the Lord appraises the worth of each.

He who turns Guru-wards, he embraces the Lord's meditation.

He does the deeds of truth and continence.

All the fastings, religious rites and daily adorations,

Saturday: To deliberate over good omens and Shashtras,

in these and in ego and selfhood, the world wanders.

The blind apostate is engrossed in the love of another,

and bound down at death's door bears the blows.

By Guru's grace, man obtains eternal peace.

He does true deeds and bears love to truth.

Very fortunate are they who serve the True Guru.

Stilling their ego, they embrace love for the True Lord;

With Thy love, O Lord, they are easily imbued.

Thou, O Bliss-giving Lord, unitest them with Thyself.

Everything wells up from one God. There is not any other.

Realising Reality, through the Guru, man obtains Divine understanding.

Just as the fifteen lunar days, seven week days,

months & seasons come again and again,

like that the world is in flux day and night.

Coming and going the Creator Lord has ordained.

Exercising His might, the True Lord Himself remains ever stable

Nanak some rare Guru-ward understands this thing by reflecting over the Name.

Reading and reciting Gurbani Paath is a foundational pillar of Sikh spiritual life. Gurbani, literally meaning "the Guru's word," is the divine wisdom revealed to the Sikh Gurus and other enlightened saints. By studying and contemplating the sacred scripture on a daily basis, a devotee can cultivate inner peace, mental clarity, and a deep sense of connection to the Creator. The specific Bani, ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ਵਾਰ ਸਤ, holds a unique place in the daily routine of devotees, carrying spiritual vibrations that help transform the mind and soothe the soul.

Why Do We Read Nitnem and Daily Banis?

In the Sikh code of conduct (Rehat Maryada), every Sikh is prescribed a set of daily prayers to be recited at specific times—in the morning, evening, and night. Collectively known as Nitnem (meaning daily routine), these prayers serve as a shield against the five negative impulses (lust, anger, greed, attachment, and pride) and keep the practitioner centered in remembrance of the Divine. Performing ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ਵਾਰ ਸਤ regularly establishes a rhythmic discipline in life. Whether you are reading in Gurmukhi, English translations, or studying phonetic transliterations on NaamSimran, the focus remains on understanding the message and embedding it in one's daily conduct.

The Protocol of Reading Gurbani: Respect and Reverence

Gurbani is considered the living voice of the Guru, and thus, utmost respect is maintained while reading or listening to it. Before commencing the recitation of ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ਵਾਰ ਸਤ, one should cover their head, wash their hands and feet, and sit in a comfortable, respectful posture. Maintaining a clean and quiet environment helps direct all attention to the divine message. In our digital reader, we have provided customizable options for text sizes, translations (English, Punjabi, Spanish), and transliteration layouts so that you can create an optimal, distraction-free environment for your daily recitation. If you prefer to track your complete reading of the Guru Granth Sahib, you can configure your own Sehaj Path tracker to read the scripture page-by-page.

At any time, you can reset your progress via the Settings drawer or click the floating "Back to Top" button to return to the beginning.

Integrating Simran and Daily Contemplation

Reciting Gurbani is most effective when paired with active contemplation and the practice of Naam Simran. While Gurbani instructs us on the attributes of the Divine and how to live ethically, Naam Simran is the practical application of meditating on the Gurmantar "Waheguru" to quiet the mind. Together, these practices form the core of a Sikh's spiritual development, leading to a state of Sehaj (spiritual poise and balance). Devotees are encouraged to read the daily Hukamnama Sahib from Sri Harmandir Sahib to receive the day's guidance and align their thoughts with the divine order.

Spiritual Upliftment Through Gurbani Translations

For many youth and seekers around the world, understanding Gurmukhi script can be a barrier. Providing high-quality English, Punjabi, and Hindi translations allows readers to truly comprehend the profound philosophical teachings contained in Gurbani. Each hymn in ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ਵਾਰ ਸਤ speaks of universal truths—the unity of creation, the beauty of the cosmos, and the ultimate merging of the individual soul with the eternal Light. We hope that this interactive, modern, and high-performance digital reader inspires you to spend time daily with the Guru's words, bringing peace, joy, and spiritual progress to your life.
